Submission Guidelines
Follow these rules so every archive record remains reliable, traceable, and reusable for researchers.
Accurate and complete information
Enter names, dates, places, and epitaph fields faithfully to the source. Do not guess uncertain details; mark them as uncertain.
Source attribution
Connect every record to a verifiable book, thesis, article, archive document, or field survey. Include page and record numbers whenever possible.
Photograph quality
Upload sharp, well-lit images that show the complete inscription. Avoid personal watermarks, heavy filters, or edits that alter the content.
Transcription
Transcribe the text as it appears and clearly mark unreadable passages. Keep commentary and translation separate from the original text.
Copyright and privacy
Submit only material you have the right to share. Do not publish private information about living people or sensitive location data.
Review process
Editors may review submissions for sources, formatting, and consistency before publication and may request corrections.
